- XBloom Studio 1:16bitter almost herbal finish when hot. very sweet mellow aroma. not astringent. limey acidity as its cooling, general round sweetness.
- XBloom Studio 1:16roasty at front, still balanced cool, not that much difference?
- XBloom Studio 1:16slightly roasty finish when hot, but overall pretty balanced sweetness, very mellow acidity when cool
- XBloom Studio 1:16A little weak? definitely less roasty at beginning but also lighter body and sweetness. maybe can't really go coarser? or go even more coarse to match brew time?
- XBloom Studio 1:16much cleaner good sweetness, only hint of roast when very hot, very juicy finish + almost savory aftertaste, very clean almost vegetal when cool.
- XBloom Studio 1:16touch astringent on finish, broadly roasty hot. smooth sweetness as it cools
- XBloom Studio 1:16hot - still getting kicked by roasty bitter wall, more full and sweet when cooling
- XBloom Studio 1:16much cleaner, more honey like overall, still a touch astringent, can bump grind to 65 still and 100 rpm probably
- XBloom Studio 1:16still a bit intense hot, much cleaner when cooling
- XBloom Studio 1:16rich honey aroma, kind of muddy and harsh hot, very mellow balanced mild acidity. neutral red / blue fruit sweetness. bitter but not very astringent finish. sharper blue acidic finish when cooling. cooler temp? coarser grind? - bump bloom to 20 v 30, 65 grind vs 70, 100 rpm instead of 120, max temp 93
- XBloom Studio 1:15great rich ethiopian aroma, definitely a bit sour, grind 70 is probably too coarse? combined with 15 ratio (more of a proper medium roast recipe?). surprisingly bitter and roasty finish though - is that the oolong? bit unbalanced, but intense sharp melon sweetness. leaning more blue as it cools. mellows out a lot. the acidity balances out with the sweetness more, bitterness almost disappears. Super tea-like, but thick.
- Kono 1:16.66a bit roasty, very rich, bright ish candy red sweetness, tea and slightly astringent finish - probably rested too long? washed! oolong aroma and juicy fruit reaally shows up when cooling not very light - verve recommends 1:15 in 3 minutes 90 tds
