Recent Brews
- XBloom Studio 1:17touuuuch of astringency hot and on the finish? reeally mellow and lingering acidity. blue aftertaste.
- XBloom Studio 1:17pretty good, balanced, rich and sweet
- XBloom Studio 1:17pretty muddy and astringent - lower to regular bloom, coarser (3.9?), and more circular & gentle pour to finish?
- XBloom Studio 1:17still a bit muddy at the beginning but rich and clean finish. maybe standardize water better?
- XBloom Studio 1:17harsh when hot and bitter/astringent as cooling - testing zero point probably tweaked the spring tension? (had to push a few times - hopefully did not damage) try 3.8 next
- XBloom Studio 1:17yea definitely keep to 3.4 at least - astrigent even when not hot
- XBloom Studio 1:17less harsh and muddy at the beginning, still a touch thin and limey on finish, try going to 18? and grinding 56? less clean when cool
- XBloom Studio 1:17a bit muddy especially while hot
- XBloom Studio 1:17super smooth and vibrant, balanced. mellow and clear acidity, pulls into sugary, becomes more earthy and tealike on finish. juicy body with clean sweet aftertaste. very strong blue when aerated and cooling. very blue and sweet cold.
- XBloom Studio 1:17little more bitterness in the middle. much less acidity. very mellow sweetness still. smells very similar to xbloom grind - super crisp blue. more tannic side of berry really present. slightly astingent aftertaste. very tea-like after cooling, more earthy+acidic, sweetness more flat.
- XBloom Studio 1:17a touch of bitterness, very long lasting mild blue sweet aftertaste, very clean light body. juicy acidity. more tealike after cooling. very easy drinking, slightly limey acidity.
- XBloom Studio 1:17much more 'funk' on the aroma? a bit less sweetness, more drawn out, clean acidity, slightly watery. almost limey. need to dial finer, can get more out of cup, finish a touch vegetal / astringent?
- XBloom Studio 1:17super fresh and floral aroma with strong honey crisp body, mellow berry sweetness that lingers past the acidity. strong upfront earthy tannic acidity. acidity mellows out as cools? more floral? more light/citrus
